Three-tier basket storage tower.
When I stumbled upon these cute baskets at my local dollar store, I stashed three into my cart without any hesitation and knew that whatever use I come up with for these, it would be awesome! I loved everything about these baskets: the size - not too big and not too small; they were metal - nice and sturdy and could store heavier items if need be; and the overall look - these could easily fit in an industrial, modern, rustic, even a shabby chic or country home!
When I brought them home I didn't get to them right away... I shoved them aside from one spot to another for a good few months before I finally decided that I'd use them to make this storage tower (alright! I admit it! I DO have project ADD!).
But, when I DID complete this project, I was more than satisfied with it! I built a support frame out of solid wood and installed the baskets inside the frame at an angle. The finish on the frame included a dark gray stain, a faint white wash, and a light distressing.
What's great about this unit is that it is pretty compact but still offers mega storage! The base measures approximately 12"x12" so it has a small footprint. You don't need much floor or counter space to keep this gem around! The three baskets are a decent size so many items will easily fit inside. Finally, this little unit is so versatile! Whether you need to organize some toys in a child's bedroom...
...stash everyday necessities in your or a guest bathroom...
...or store fruit and veggies in the kitchen or pantry, this storage tower allows you to do so in an accessible but organized manner!
The tower can be customized in any way; it could be built using any number of baskets, in any desired configuration, and there are many options for finishes for the wood frame. In addition, other details such as name tags can also be added if you'd like yours to be personalized.
