Rustic window with red berries.
Another beautiful decorative piece that stemmed from some wood slats bound for the garbage. I simply cut the slats to desired size, glued them together to make a "window", stained in walnut, then dry brushed in white. I layered on branches (collected from our local forest) in a circular pattern and added berries in various sizes budding from the lower left hand corner. Finally, a few pinecones, nuts, and other rustic accents, along with a string of clear, battery operated LED lights, completed this decoration.
Although I made this piece as a Christmas decoration, it can definitely be displayed year round. Hung up on a wall, placed on the mantel, or displayed on a shelf, it adds rustic charm to any decor scheme.
