Instant nightstand facelift.
I love when I find old pieces of furniture at a great bargain. And as much as I love detail-oriented projects, sometimes it's nice when all it takes is a step or two to complete the facelift. Here, I revamped a pair of outdated nightstands with changing just one thing: the colour. After a light sanding, two coats of primer, and a couple coats of paint, these pieces are stylish once again!
For this painting project, I chose a light cream pearl paint from Martha Stewart. It's a beautiful finish; the paint slightly glimmers in the light. I also chose to apply the paint with a paint brush so that the intentional brush strokes resulted in a linen-like finish, giving the overall piece texture. The original hardware worked perfectly with the new night stands so I kept it as is.
